Here are pics of 2 brand new Mattel Addy's so you can see how they vary from batch to batch: The Addy on the left has a wider face near the temple area, across the bridge of her nose is narrower, and her jawline is thinner. The Addy on the right has a richer skintone and fuller jawline. Both of these dolls were purchased in December 2007 and have American Girl LLC. stamped on their necks. Mattel Addy is less plump than PM Addy. Her skintone is more of a rich, warm brown. PM Addy has a reddish/rosy skintone and a plumper body with squishy vinyl. Both dolls are equally beautiful in their own ways. Grade: A+

I recently bought this set and with the code, it was worth the price IMO. My daughter loves to play with the candy tin. Before I bought this I always wondered about the size of it in comparison to Addy so I took this picture for those who would like to see it.

I just bought a transitional Josefina for my daughter for Christmas. We had a Josefina previously and right from the beginning her hair was a nightmare to deal with. This doll has the Mattel stiff eyelashes and somewhat hard vinyl but no body tag and the lower eyebrows. Her hair is simply gorgeous. It's a beautiful black with brown highlights- very natural looking. I can run a pick or brush through it with barely a tangle. It's a different texture than the other Josefina we had. It's softer, but less silky-slick feeling. Here's a sneak peek at her before she goes back in hiding.
