Purple Posies Outfit for Dolls
Item# F6374
Bitty Baby is ready for playtime in this cute purple outfit! It features:
A tiered knit top with a delicate posy print and a fabric rosette at the waist
A headband with a bow
Stretchy leggings
Soft-soled shoes with star-heart embroidery
$24
I bought this set on sale for my Bitty Twins (I don't have Bitty Baby). I wouldn't have purchased at full price, and I hadn't really even noticed it before I saw it on sale.
First impressions:
Top: it's not soft like I expected. It's kind of stiff and doesn't feel very nice.
Headband: it has a huge tag but the tag is looped through the bow for ease of removal!
Stretchy leggings: are just that, very nice feel & color
Soft-soled shoes: they're kind of plastic-y on the surface but well constructed
On a Bitty Twin:
The fit is good. I didn't want to mess up her hair with the headband, but the headband is flexible enough that it should(?) fit... See below. Shoes are easy to put on. Looks pretty cute despite my initial bad impression of the top.
On an 18" doll:
I only took this picture for the bitty-stuff-on-18"-dolls compendium, but I actually think these make passable PJ's. The shoes are a bit tight but workable and look like slippers. The leggings are more like capri-length, which isn't unusual for AG sleepwear. The top is roomy, it's too wide (as expected), but I think it's ok for pajamas. And the headband fits, which surprised me due to how small it looked. (Note: I still have the tag on the headband in the picture).
Closeup of the headband's unusual tag attachment:
(The tag is looped through the bow)
Grades:
At the sale price for Bitty, I'd give it a solid A. I can overlook the stiffness of the top fabric at that price point since everything fits well and is cute. Bonus points for making the headband tag easy to remove, even if I don't know that I'd use it on my twins due to their hair.
As PJs for an 18" girl? I'll give it a B.
