Luciana's accessories are so much fun. Honestly I purchased them just b/c the backpack appealed to me so much and b/c I could get the $5 off with the doll, but there is a lot of fun here! The smart watch and dehydrated ice cream are adorable and I'm glad the ice cream is in a nice case that can be used over and over again instead of a paper wrapper or something. There is also a star chart, a space camp graduation certificate and a space camp log book. Very cute!

Can you post a flat photo of the star chart? I’d like to print out a few copies!

Luciana has a blast at Space Camp and takes home some fun mementos! This set includes:
A shiny holographic backpack with a constellation graphic A star chart for nighttime gazing A pretend smart watch to keep her on track Pretend dehydrated space ice cream—just like the astronauts eat! A Space Camp log book to record her progress A Space Camp graduation certificate
I purchased this set on January 1st, 2018 at the launch event. I always purchased the coordinating accessories with my dolls, so it was a given that this set would be coming home. That being said I absolutely adore it. The backpack is a great size and fits everything included with the set with room to spare. I love that they used the holographic silver for it to match Luciana's meet boots and choker. It's gorgeous and I see it being a big hit with the target age group. The star chart is a doll sized version of the Orion brand they sell in bookstores- you can spin the sky chart to coordinate with the month and time of night to find constellations. It's made of a sturdy cardboard and should last under play. The smart watch is plastic with a clear band. I like the face of the watch. It fits Luciana well and is a good accessory with any of her outfits. The log book is merely a tiny notebook with space camp written on the cover. Unlike some AG journeys (Tenney), there are no pages written on in it. Included is Luciana's Space Camp graduation certificate printed on cardstock. It bends easily so I would recommend care in handling it. My absolute favorite part of this set is the space ice cream. It looks super realistic and I love that it comes in a plastic container so you can open and take it out as you wish.
I would give this set an overall grade of A. Though there are a few paper items the log book and star chart are fun to play with and the backpack, ice cream, and watch all have great playability.

Luciana’s Accessories retailed for $25, and it was one of the last pieces of her collection that I purchased during her year. Although I love her space theme, many of the pieces in this set don’t appeal to me, and some are poorly made. Here are some additional photos and thoughts: In my opinion, the backpack is the biggest miss. On the plus side, it’s roomy enough for the other accessories (with room to spare), the holographic material is kind of cool, and the straps are long enough to easily fit on the doll. I also like the heart constellation, which appears on several of Luciana’s things. On the other hand, the backpack is stiff, very simply constructed, and most annoying of all to me, crookedly sewn. If I try to fold the upper flap down evenly, it misses the Velcro closure, and the sides and bottom also seem permanently askew. I might just have a dud, but it seems very sloppy to me. D The star chart is kind of cool. The wheel spins to show the position of constellations in the night sky. B The Neapolitan space ice cream comes in a hard plastic case that has the Space Camp logo on the front. The front is silvery grey, and the back piece is clear, with a small indentation on the end to pry the two halves apart. I like that it can be taken apart, then returned to the container to play with again. B+ The two other paper pieces - the book and camp certificate, are maybe less special than they could be. They both have the Space Camp logo. The “Space Camp Space Log” is just a book with lined pages inside, and the certificate says “Space Camp Awards Luciana Vega Space Camp Wings 2018”. It would have been nice if they had some other special features or information attached. (As I write this, I’m remembering that the print catalogs during Luciana’s year had special codes to access more information online. I don’t know if this included her Accessories, but I don’t think they’re functional anymore anyway.) C The smart watch has a clear band and constellations along with the time on its face. This doesn’t especially appeal to me, but maybe others feel differently. B Overall, this is one of the more disappointing GOTY Accessory sets from my perspective. The space ice cream and star chart are the most interesting items in my opinion, and the rest is just kind of meh. I think I’d give it an overall C- at the retail price, but people who like the backpack or who received a better quality piece would probably rate it higher.
