This item was released at Courtney's debut in September 2020 and retired in early 2021.Courtney's pleated front jeans are made of real garment washed denim. Their distinctive '80s style features a fold-over waistband.I bought Courtney's jeans first because I thought they'd be good to pair with the shirts I made for her. Meh... not so much. First of all the jeans are extremely difficult to get on the doll. Especially getting the cuffs over her feet. Here's the jeans with one of my shirts. 20200923_175205 by Elizabeth, on Flickr I thought I would be able to flip the top up and button them. Nope. The buttons are non-functioning. 20200923_175326 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Ok, let's try the shirt untucked. This is waist flipped up. 20200923_175457 by Elizabeth, on Flickr She almost looks pregnant.... This is the waist flipped down. 20200923_175624 by Elizabeth, on Flickr That doesn't look good either.... I'm not overly thrilled with them right now. That may change after I buy more of her collection and make her some button down shirts.

These are so ugly they are cute. They are a nice Jean material, just the right weight for a doll. The acid wash is perfect for this time. They definitely look best with a tucked in shirt or a crop top. I wish they came with belt loops and a belt but for $16 I can’t complain. I give them an A+ for quality and accuracy. From the AG website:These pleated front jeans are made of real garment washed denim. They have a fold-over waistband, which was a popular ’80s style. $16 These jeans are so odd! I missed out on them the first time around but grabbed them when they came back up for sale temporarily in December 2021. The acid wash finish is great, a classic 80's thing. They close with Velcro in the front and the gems and buttonholes are non functional. They are a bit tough to get on and take a little tugging. I'd give these a B since they are time period appropriate even though they are a bit strange.

Oh, I so love them!!! do give a A+ Why, because #1 they are well made #2 this is truly 80's jeans like I wore them! Things is back then, we were tucking our shirts in. And with kind of jeans the flap was always to be kept down, because this is just a fashion accent. You would never wear them any other ways. Then, there were others, that are also pleated with a V shape on top, like Courtney's meet skirt or the shorts with no flap down. But even then, you would tuck in your T.Shirt or blouse. Personally, I found them very stylish back then and still do now. I do miss the 80's fashion!
