When I first saw photos of Lila, I knew I had to have her. Amber eyes and freckles is a combination I don’t have already. And, her hair is gorgeous! I ordered her just a few days after her (early) release in October 2023. The doll is lovely in person with feathered eye brows and the new style of eye makeup/painted lashes. Her freckles are subtle, not too dark, and super cute. AG should use amber eyes more often. They’re so pretty.
Her hair is amazing! It is caramel colored with highlights, and loose curls. The wig is very nice, and I’m sure little girls will love styling it. The front has a sewn part, which stops at the crown of her head. Her meet hairstyle is pulled into two small ponytails on either side of the part and should be easy to re create after styling. The highlights are “chunky” but blend nicely with her caramel hair.
Doll score: A+
Her meet outfit consists of a pink sparkly spandex top and velour leisure pants. The shoes are a light purple platform sandal that Velcro’s on the sides. The meet outfit is not my favorite, to be honest. The top reminds me of something that would be worn for a dance team. I do think it will mix and match relatively well. The velour pants are soft, but kind of thin. This style of pants just isn’t for me. I’ve never been a fan. The drawstring around the waist is tacked down so it won’t be flying away at weird angles. The shoes are heavy molded plastic. Again, not a fan. These seem like something you’d get from Target. I am overall disappointed with the outfit but it wasn’t why I purchased the doll. It’s not horrible, just not for me.
Outfit score: B
She also comes with her book and two bracelets. One bracelet is blue beads on an elastic. The other is a pink pull string style with jewel beads. They’re standard AG bracelets.
