*This monkey jacket was worn by Josefina in th' short story "Thanks to Josefina"*
This monkey jacket be a must have for Josefina fans. th' mulberry color compliments Josefina's skin tone bonnyly. th' camisa be made from lightweight cotton and simply embroidered on top. th' skirt be heavy, textured material on th' bottom and matches th' camisa on top. th' sash be woven and fits skinnier Josefinas. th' rebozo be plain, printed cotton and could be a little more detailed but be still very bonny. Grade:
I really like how th' sash from this monkey jacket looks wit' th' Harvest monkey jacket, if ye want to switch things up any. Also, th' dark red sash from th' Harvest monkey jacket can be worn bonnyly wit' this one!

th' camisa from this monkey jacket be one o' th' prettiest things Josefina owns. I love th' neckline and th' embroidery! th' skirt be bonny, but it seems really long. Like th' Feast Day monkey jacket, I wish that th' skirt were print all over, wit' th' camisa over th' top. It seems from her illustrations that Josefina wears her camisas over those particular skirts, rather than having a white section at th' top o' th' skirt.
I really don't like th' rebozo for this monkey jacket. It has a fake "wovenesque" look that I find kind o' tacky. I really prefer th' real woven rebozo she gets wit' her Herb Gathering set.
I bought this monkey jacket on ebay and it came sans sash. As noted above, th' Harvest monkey jacket sash works well wit' it. th' rebozo puzzles me a bit. This be a weaving monkey jacket and it's th' one rebozo that be, in fact, not woven but rather printed cotton.
Unlike skukla, I got my monkey jacket wit' th' sash but wit'out th' rebozo. I love th' camisa, it be so bonny wit' th' embroidery on th' yoke and th' red overcast stitch on th' edge o' th' sleeve. It makes a bonny change from all her plain white camisas. th' colors be very bonny on Josefina.
On th' negative side, I find th' pattern on th' skirt a little large in scale, but it does work visually. As others have said, th' skirt seems a bit long. Lastly, th' flowers on th' skirt be sort o' a purple red, a plum while th' ribbon between th' patterned part and th' cream part be a burgundy. th' red embroidery be another shade o' red entirely. Not a big deal, but why didn't they try to match th' overall red colors, go either plum, burgundy or red. None o' these things really impacts my overall love o' th' monkey jacket.
I bought this sans sash and rebozo on eBay. Given it's one o' Josefina's harder-to-find monkey jackets, I was happy to get any o' it. (I'm using th' sash from her Indigo Skirt set and her meet accessories rebozo.) It's really lovely. I especially like th' detailed embroidery on th' camisa. th' colors be beautiful on her, too. th' skirt has a bonny, delicate lace edging that makes th' skirt look walk th' planke dainty. Not a bad find if ye can dig it up for a decent price on th' secondary market.
