Introduced in 1997 for $25, retired in 2007.Josefina’s Bedside Table $29 Item# JDF "Josefina’s wooden table is made the traditional way, with mortise and tenon construction, instead of with nails. In 1824, its rustic red finish might have come from a paint made of clay, madder root, and other natural materials. The table also features a pullout drawer--the perfect place for Josefina's treasures."This is a cute table and the New Mexican style is so authentic. The table is very lightweight and the wood it's made out of is very thin and a bit fragile. Josefina's Bedside Table The size of the table seems a bit small for a 9 year-old, but it is bedside table size compared to her bed, which is also a bit off scale if Josefina is 9. Size compared to Josefina The table has a slide-out drawer with a leather handle instead of a knob to open it with. Pull-out drawer The red-rustic finish makes it look very hand made, even though all the corners and edges are very straight and smooth and not a hand-tooled look to it at all (as opposed to her table and chairs set.) Over all, it seems sturdy enough to hold her Nighttime Necessities. The look is great. I give it an over grade of A-

Josefina's bedside table is lovely, with its dark red stain, delicate woodwork, and little leather pull. I love the carved detailing just below the drawer. It fits in very neatly with her entire collection. Unfortunately, it is very lightweight and I worry that I might accidentally break it, particularly when her heavy Puebla basin is atop it. Everything from her nighttime necessities fits nicely on the bedside table. The little drawer is the perfect size for Josefina to store her hair ribbons and primroses.

Hope these will help. The piece of leather looks like it is glued together in the front.

Josefina's Bedside Table is one of my favorite pieces in her collection. The wood is lightweight, and the coloring/finish looks to be of good quality. The carvings are very authentic, as is the hide drawer pull. I've had this piece since I was a young girl (still actively playing with my collection) and it survived quite a lot of play with very little wear. Now that I'm grown, and display my collection, it still looks fantastic! A+!

Josefina nightstand is very pretty. It works well with her collection. Th red stain seems to be very accurate. The only problem is the table is quite delicate.
