Molly's pajamas can be found in the books Molly's Surprise, Happy Birthday, Molly!, and Changes for Molly, as well as the short story "Molly's A+ Partner". They are also worn by Molly in the movie Molly: An American Girl on the Home Front, They were introduced with Molly's collection in 1986 and they retired in February 2013, when they were replaced by the Floral Pajamas.
Tailored and trim, Molly’s pajamas are classic. They’re made of the softest red-and-white-striped material. They have traditional styling with cuffed pants and sleeves on her shirt, and a matching belt. With the Trunk and the bed they’re the perfect combination for Molly, the girl who loves stars and stripes.
I didn't see any reviews for Molly's pajamas, so I figured I HAD to do one, since her jammies are among my very favorite Molly outfits!
Molly's pajama set is very charming. It has red and white stripes (very candy cane-like) with three white buttons down the front of the shirt. (However, Velcro closes the shirt, not the buttons.)
The shirt is slightly long (it goes right down to her rump), and you can tie the matching sash around her waist. Please note that the sash is attached to the back of the pajama top and is not detachable. The pajama top also has a wee little pocket, which is adorable.
Her pajama pants are held up by an elastic waist, and the bottom of the pants are cuffed.
The fabric feels like thin cotton, but it looks and feels very comfortable and snuggly.
I'm sorry that my picture of Molly in her jammies is truly awful and blurry, but I don't have a better photo on me right now. But don't let my bad photo deter you!
All in all: Very well-made and highly recommended. A dolly must-have if you like pajamas (like me )!
Grade: A+
