AGT #18 (Newer Retired Version, With Bangs) A: There is something about AGT #18 that makes me smile. She is one of the sweetest looking dolls in the collection. For those of you unfamiliar with the changes in AGT#18, she was given bangs in 1999. AGT#18 is very unique looking. While she shares a face mold with AGT#1, AGT#18 (old), AGT#26 and Addy, her wig is very different from the other dolls. The most obvious difference is that she has bangs. Her bangs are not thick like the older AGT bangs; rather they are comparable to Nellie’s (shorter and wispier) and have just a little bit of a curl. Her wig is relatively flat and smooth on top (unlike some the bang-less dolls with textured hair). Also unlike Addy, AGT#18’s wig is shorter, softer, a tiny bit lighter, less textured and doesn’t shed as much. Her hair is a lot of fun to play with. Close-ups of Aaliyah Her eyes are a beautiful shade of light brown and seem to have a natural sparkle them makes them appear lifelike. Full Body Shot of Aaliyah I only have two relatively minor complaints about this doll. First, her skin is grayer than either of my Addys. She looks sickly sitting next to them. However, it is not really noticeable when she is next to other dolls. I don’t know if this problem applies to all AGT#18 dolls. Second, she does not photograph well, especially indoors. She would not make a very good clothing model. I love AGT#18 and would without a doubt place her in my top 8 favorite AGT dolls on any given day (maybe even in my top 5). *She also has great possibilities for customization*

I thought I'd snagged the dark brown eyed girl, but on closer inspection, my girl has light brown eyes... She is lovely, I received her from Ebay about a month ago and I have yet to come up with a name for her. Her bang looks like it's been trimmed a little, but other than that, she's lovely.

Lia Lily Rose is my #18. I received her for an anniversary gift in December. I love her hair! The texture makes it so easy to work with. Don't be scared off by remarks that textured doll hair is harder to care for- it's not! It's actually much better. I french braided it and it was so much easier to separate than the silky hair while braiding. She's a really pretty doll and it's a shame she was retired. Her wispy bangs are so pretty! A+

I have an early version of the revised GT18 with bangs. My girl has all pre-Mattel features, although she must be transitional because the revised version came out in 1999. It looks like her bangs are a bit thicker than the Mattel version. She has no body tag, soft eyelashes, squishy vinyl, and no short hairs covering her wig cap. (I don't know if the Mattel wig has short hairs.) This is an adorable doll. I love the Addy mold with these Nellie-style bangs.

I was able to see a number of my friend's TM dolls so I thought I'd review them. I love the Addy mold and this doll makes a great modern girl.
