The tankini set is beyond gorgeous! The jewel turquoise is exquisite. It is very well made as is the girl size version. I am sure the girl size version will end of coming here. It fits nicely and is very comfortable to wear. My picky "it itches me" child loved it! If you like the stock photo, you will be ga-ga over it in person.
The doll version is also well made and as funny as it sounds the ruffle on the waistline makes the suit. The sandals/thongs are adorable too! Although I didn't buy this yet, it will be coming here.

Green is not one of my favorite colors, but I do like this shade of teal green. I am not a fan of bikinis, both on myself, my dd and AG dolls, so I do prefer a one-piece swimsuit or tankini. The good: There is no velcro to snag the fabric The bad: There is no velcro so the top is very difficult to put on the doll. My dd could not do it, and I thought I was going to rip the straps putting it on! It is a little easier pulling the top through the doll's legs though, than above the head. On a positive note: the darker teal shade matches McKenna's meet leggings. The bottoms have a modest cut and fit well, especially over the behind (no indecent plumber's crack when the doll sits!) I think I have the sarong tied a bit high, but the width/length is long enough to be tied in a lot of different ways, even criss-crossed around the chest and neck as a modified top! (will have to add a photo) The flip flops are basic. The matching colored elastic is a nice touch and keeps the sandals from falling off the feet. Overall: A for attractive, modest looks, C+ for ease of use because of the top.

I just bought this outfit yesterday and returned it a few hours later. It is a gorgeous color and would look wonderful on so many dolls, but I was unable to get the top on a brand new, very thin doll. I really tried, but it felt like either the straps were going to break or the doll's arms were. Strangely enough, the bikini bottom fit very well, much better than earlier swimsuits.

I just ordered it. I noticed on the American Girl website it looks like a teal color but after looking at the reviews it almost looks turquiose in color. I am bummed because I like the greenish teal so much better. How can the outfit look so different in stock and in snapshot photos.

I bought it for my niece and I think it is definitely greenish teal. I would not use turquoise as the color to describe it. It is certainly in the green family. It is really gorgeous, the most stunning of all AG swimsuits.

It's definitely teal. We picked it up at the AG store a couple weeks ago on DD8'd b-day. Now she wants the matching tankini for herself!

I have seen it in person, I agree that it is a beautiful teal color.

This set is absolutely gorgeous! The flip flops are so realistic and have nice elastic to keep them on. The sarong is a bit longer than sarongs AG has made in the past. The top is ridiculously hard to get on! I can understand why Mary Carly returned hers. If it wasn't so adorable I probably would think about returning it too.
