I absolutely agree with hand2016 . I would only add that attaching the front panel was much easier when the helmet shield is completely down first otherwise the panel keeps popping off. I am so excited and pleased with this space suit that I am seriously thinking about picking up another!

Roller Skating Outfit: I love everything about this outfit! The fabric is crisp and colorful and looks so sweet on Maryellen. The addition of the shoes and hair bow make her ready to head to the roller skating rink!

Let me just start by saying this is a really large piece! ( think Kit's tree house big!) I found it to be well constructed and a lovely display set up. There are a lot of pieces and I had lots of fun setting it up. I do wish a loft ladder had been included. The thatched roof does pop off easily but then I guess that's good cause it doesn't need to be forced. I give this an A + having bought it at half price!

Rebecca's Play Outfit: The hat's not bad quality wise and I love the blue bow. When I put it away I will put a little tissue in to keep it from going flat again. The dress is actually very thin material and I can see the cloth body through it but otherwise nicely made. The cute little apron is attached at the shoulders and along the closure. The buttons on mine all have a tarnished look to them and I wonder if this is intentional or if mine are off. The tights and shoes fit well and add a nice touch.

The boots from this outfit left black crisscross marks on both of Grace's legs.

I just picked this outfit up as the purchase with purchase for $15. The sweater is beautifully made and the boots are the perfect footwear to go with it. I'm not crazy about the pants (knit leggings) but I know the other pieces will get lots of use!

This item was released in 2016 and retired in 2019.
Food in the 1950s was starting to become faster in the form of cans, casseroles, and frozen dinners, which meant more time for families like Maryellen’s to spend together, or even watch TV while they ate! Fully stocked with pretend food that Maryellen would have loved to eat, this retro fridge gives a peek at what was on the menu in the 1950s. This 26-piece set includes: A perfectly pink retro fridge with a door that opens to reveal a freezer on top with an extra door, drawers, shelves, and a butter holder Two TV tables that work like the real thing and fold for storage, with a fun ’50s pattern and a stand to hold them An ice cube tray with ice cubes that lift slightly at the touch of a handle Three frozen TV dinners with beef, chicken, and pasta that come out of their boxes Two bottles of milk Four bottles of soda A casserole dish with a meal inside A fancy plate of gelatin A cooked ham with all the trimmings Jars of relish, jam, mustard, and jelly Four sticks of butter A frozen treat that dolls can really hold W: 14.1"x H: 17.3" x D: 8.2"
This is a wonderful addition to the American Girl line. I love all the food pieces that were included : the sticks of butter, the jars of jam and relish, the milk bottles and especially the TV dinners every piece cute and well thought out. I think it could have been just a tad taller ( though it is taller than my wolverine.) The snack trays are cute but I find that they come apart easily. Not a problem for me but could be for a child. Now for the one issue. I am waiting for yet a third replacement because ther is a very small nic in the door handle of both that have arrived. After talking to CS I am believing that this is a factory defect. She checked the one they have on display and she said that it too had this and is of the opinion that it is suppose to be this way. I disagree. I have asked them to check before shipping the next one. Has anyone else noticed this issue? I will try to add a picture later today. Done! I give this piece an A ( would have been an A+ but for the height, trays and defect.)

Well reviewed above but I love the tassels! Adds a bit of whimsy! Don't miss the socks. I give this outfit an A.

Molly's tent is such a fun piece! Room for two dolls in their sleeping bags. It has a platform on which the poles and canvas set up and plays a bugal call. Comes apart easily for storage. The one problem is that the poles don't stay together well. AG could have done a better job on this. I give it a B because of pole issues.

Skiff

I got my skiff in December as a Christmas gift from DH. I absolutely love it and have had it on display this whole time. It now has a problem that I wonder has happened to anyone else. The elastics that hold the sail to the mast have stretched to the point that the sail sags. It is display only and I have no children in the house. I called CS this morning and explained the issue. They are sending a new Skiff and return shipping label. Just wondering what will happen if this happens again and the skiff has been retired? Well, I guess it would be easy enough to replace the elastics if needed . Wondering what is happening to the ones being played with?

Could not figure out where to put this but.....
I just got my chalet and I love it! It's very heavy and takes up a good chunk of space but well made. I have decided that it will be in use year round so I am making it into a "summer Chalet" for now. With the free shipping and sale price it was a very good deal! I made a little window box out of something I already had and added Molly's birthday flowers, a little grapevine wreath over the fire place, a coke machine for quick drinks and it's ready for the girls to enjoy all summer!

Sorry folks, but a cow that can't stand on her own four feet is going back. Soft and cuddly yes but not a good display piece. She gets a C from me

CS said that it is actually magnetic. I guess mine became "unmagnetized!"

Sorry if someone else has already asked this I did look and couldn't find it. Is McKenna's umbrella suppose to stay open? There doesn't appear to be the gadget (like Molly's)that will hold it open. If not very disappointed in this set (especially given the price.)
