My daughter just bought this item a couple weeks ago, and I can tell it is going to be a big hit around here. It has TONS of play value. It is well constructed and the food is adorable. The whole set is just too darn cute!! I agree that more of the food should be removable, because my daughters always seem to have it be an "eat in" bakery....and you cant actually take one or two brownies or buns out to give the dolls at a table...and it doesnt seem as much like you are baking them (if you are lucky enough to also have a cookstove!)...since the brownies arent a full pan...but even so...we love this item. Besides...you can make some more items, or buy them on ebay to use along with it. Buy this! You will love it!

I saw the cookstove at AGPC and it sure did look cute with Ruthie and Kit standing by in their aprons. I liked it a lot, but find it disappointing that it didnt come with anything, at its nearly 70 dollar pricetag. I think it should have included at lease a frying pan or something to get a kid started cooking.

I checked the treehouse out carefully when I went to AGPC and decided that despite how adorable it is, I would not be purchasing it for my daughters. I think it is an awesome display piece, but very poor for play value. The balcony space in the front gets in the way of trying to do things with the dolls in the house. The doorway opening isnt really that big when it comes to actually having the dolls do things in the house....The pulley is cute...the window is cute, too, but for a child to be able to manipulate the dolls inside the very close and small space, with shorter arms than an adults, seems very difficult and limited. I agree with the above poster who said the back should be hinged and drop down to allow more play space and access. I think AG screwed up on this one...cute as it is!

Emily is just gorgeous. I love her eye color together with her hair color. Someone above commented on her meet dress being the best, and I must say that I totally agree. It is so lovely with the scalloped bodice and the quality of fabric is great. I love her headband, too! I think Emily has a timeless look that makes her a good choice as a friend to most of the historical dolls...she can fit right in wearing their collections.
