Grade: F I purchased this pair of glasses solely to review and subsequently return. And believe you me, there is no way I would have kept these glasses! The Lilac Glasses were originally wire-framed, sold under the part # F0791. The catalogue and website both continue to have the original, wire-rimmed lilac glasses. However, at AGPNY, for the past two months, they have been replaced by the new version- #F0791-CF1A. The glasses appear to be the same as the new brown oval glasses, which appeared at approximately the same time (Fall 2008 release). They are made of a shiny purple plastic. I found them to be considerably less realistic than the previous, wire incarnation. Furthermore, they are the least realistic AG glasses ever, because of the extremely shiny, thick plastic. The glasses arrive in the same plastic case as the other types of glasses, with the same purple case that many of the other pairs have. I am attaching photographs of the glasses on various facemolds. Their one positive is that they are rather tight, so they don't seem as likely to slide off the face of the doll, as the rectangle-type glasses were liable to do. *edited to fix mark-up language

Uck. Got these, despite hoping for the metal version. Here's my review. Grade: C- I have mixed feelings about these glasses; The frames are indeed plastic and they are rather chunky looking; just like the "Brown Oval Glasses" and I think they're just a bad shape. I wouldn't mind if they were the same shape as the rectangle or the blue glasses, but the oval shape combined with the shiny purple plastic does not make glasses that appeal to me very much. HOWEVER, they don't look that bad on Molly here.. I apologize for the glare; It was nighttime so of course I was indoors and I NEED the flash; Someday I'll have a small multi-lamp set up. I just want something I don't have to take up and down. Just the glasses: All this said.. they don't look *that* bad but gosh, they feel so cheap. All the AG plastic glasses do, when you compare them to the original metal. I realize plastic is going to be lighter and flimsier but DANG! The hinges aren't as "firm" as the metal ones either. I feel they are rather flimsy-feeling compared to other glasses; I feel like with the rectangle ones if I am not SUUUUPER careful, the leg will snap off and I'll be out of luck. It's just disappointing. Edited to add: They look considerably dumber on the doll if her hair is up and she has no bangs; I will add photos of Mia wearing these later when I get them off my camera.

All I can say is ugh!!! I got these off the site while they still had the picture of the wire framed glasses, you can't even imagine how upset I was when these showed up.
They look like a cheap, shiny, plastic toy, like some sort of tacky party favor.
