Fashion Show Exclusive Outfit (2008)

This outfit was sold exclusively at American Girl Fashion Shows in 2008. It included a t-shirt with the AG Fashion Show starburst and logo, and a matching fuschia skirt with an embroidered star on one pocket. The tshirt has a back velcro closure, while the skirt has an elastic waist (the tie is just for show).

This is a cute outfit. Maybe not exactly worth the $15 but since proceeds go to support the hosting organization's charitible endeavors, it's not worth complaining. However, when you consider that the store purchase-with-purchase specials are also $15 and come with shoes, it seems a little cheap of AG not to include some kind of footwear. I also wish that the cotton knit fabric was more substantial; it's fairly thin. While there is some give, this is not an outfit that will fit a chubbier doll.

It's a fun little outfit and of course the pieces can be mixed and matched, but the thin fabric and price for an outfit sans shoes merit a B+ grade in my opinion.
