The dress may be sheer, but I still manage to have Emily wear the Molly Undershirt underneath. The color looks great on Emily. The style is historically accurate while at the same time being wearable today without getting eyebrows raised. The shoes are very cute and can be worn with socks. Overall an A from me as well.

And I just found out this outfit has a pearl necklace. Must have gotten lost when I bought it from AGPC. It's a beautiful necklace and all.
Anyhow, I like this outfit a lot overall. The design and color work well for Emily. The hairtie can grab various amounts of hair. A+

I'm very pleased with my Emily doll to say the least. The Meet outfit they gave her is extremely eyecatching and looks very good on the doll. Curiously, it is red, white, and blue- which fits both her native England and the America which she is staying in. The headband is an awesome accessory that fits her well. The shoes are very good quality and look very cute. Overall an A+

Includes:
- gold dress - gold ballet flats - cream tights - hair clips - necklace - stick on earrings
The dress is one of the most beautiful and highest quality I have ever seen. I have never worn a gold dress, so I had no clue how it would end up looking on Elise (JLY 25). But it turned out to be STUNNING on her. On Inga not so much- but it is still beautiful. And it works well on girls of many ages, plus I can imagine it will not go out of fashion for a long time.
The shoes are very nice. They go so well with the dress.
The tights seem to be better quality than the usual AG ones- plus they match this dress quite well.
The necklace is gorgeous and has extra detailing on front- not just the pearls. Plus it attaches with a magnet- which makes it very easy for young girls to put it on their dolls.
The hair clips may seem cheaper than what the outfit would merit at first. But they hold the doll's hair well. And I am glad they are present- without them, the outfit would look too grown-up for a tween.
The earrings are re-usable. Elise and Inga are wearing them with other formal outfits at the moment.
One of the best holiday dresses ever. Works for other elegant occassions, since nothing in it screams "winter holidays" blatantly.
Overall an A++++++

First and foremost, thank you so much for the review. I just have some questions.
- How would you describe the shade of the dress? A cool red close to cranberry, or a warm red like a tomato? What dolls do you put it on? Which ones does it look best on?
- Is the velvet crushed or more solid?
- Are the shoes easy to put on? Can a doll stand up well in them? What do you think of the style per se- something a 10 year old would wear?
- The coat is what concerns me the most. Does it look appropriate for tweens? Sensible for winter?
I know I am being nitpicky. But I am a very curious person.

It is MUCH better than Samantha's coat. Why? Because it is NOT bulky.
And the colors are beautiful. Surprisingly, it does not look overpowering on Inga.

I just got this coat and put it on Inga. She's wearing it on top of the Sightseeing Outfit. The coat fits great. I had trouble with the buttons and loops because the loop is too small- and I wonder if it will be even harder for a little girl. The coat and hat look surprisingly good on Inga. I like the way the coat floats and is cut- it is not bulky. And the gloves add that finishing touch. Gets an A from me- would be an A+ if it had larger loops.

I agree with everyone so far. The swimsuit and sarong are fantastic. The swimsuit covers pretty much the whole doll's trunk, while at the same time being more comfortable than a maillot. The sarong is so cute and not skimpy. The shoes were hard to put on. A+ for the swimsuit and sarong

This outfit seems to have been sold under the names "Snowflake Jumper" first and then "Serenade Outfit". I only got the jumper and blouse on Ebay.
But that alone totally mesmerized me. The blouse is gorgeous. The trunk is made of satin and the sleeves of a more translucent material. The buttons are absolutely cute. It velcroes on the back for ease. The jumper is a beautiful black velvet with gold and silver accents. The jumper feels nice to the touch and the velvet drapes quite well. The design of both the jumper and blouse are absolutely beautiful and work well on a doll that represents a tween. I was able to use white stockings and black patent Mary Janes with it, as well as a gold headband. They look awesome and were easy to find and match with this outfit.
A+++ overall, at least for the blouse and jumper.

I like this outfit, though I had to make some modifications given my doll's character. She wears purple socks and black Mary Janes instead of the footwear that came with it.

I just wanted to add that the shoes that come with Nellie's Christmas outfit are PERFECT for this dress. Much better than the ones that come with it. Nellie's shoes have gold buckles, are patent leather, and are very durable and easy to put on.

This outfit is even more mesmerizing in person than what it is in pictures.
It arrives in a beautiful shiny silver box and all.
The dress is absolutely gorgeous. The velvet is soft and flows well. It has only snaps- no velcro. There is a bow in the back- which also has a v-back design. The front's designs are beautiful colors, contrast well with the black, and look just plain stunning.
The stockings work quite well with this dress. I am glad they are knee-highs and not tights.
The shoes are not so good. I could not get them to stay- so I just used the black patent Mary Janes with this outfit.
One comment I have to make is that this dress seems more like a prom dress than what a tween would wear. Perhaps due to the back's design. It's not inappropriate- but I would not have worn something like that at age 10.
A+ for the dress and stockings.

I finally put this outfit on Elise today. Maybe it looks good on dolls with lighter hair and eyes. Maybe I bought it with another character (who has light brown/dark blonde hair and gray eyes) in mind. But I am not as happy with it as I thought I would be. The skirt is fine- though I wish the "dress like your doll" version were longer The shirt is way too tight. I do not think the fact that Elise still had her camisole on would account for all the tightness. The purse is amazingly good. I did not even bother trying the espadrilles since I never wear shoes like that. The barrettes are good- but I do wish they had closed in opposite directions so that I could style her hair easier. Overall a B. Then, I tried the Sweetheart Set on Inga (FKA Nicki). I do think this outfit was made with Nicki and dolls of similar coloring in mind. It looks absolutely beautiful on Inga. Plus the shirt is not as tight- even though Inga is also wearing the camisole underneath. This outfit looks awesome with the white sandals from the Periwinkle Dress outfit- but I still was not able to put on the espadrilles. On the right doll, it will get a grade higher than B. I asked in another thread which outfits would look good on Nicki. I was especially concerned about the color. Guess what- the Sightseeing Outfit ended up being PERFECT for my Inga(FKA Nicki). The sweater is really cute and works well for her since it is ivory and not pure white. It was supposed to be a turtleneck- but it ended up folding inwards like a crewneck so I kept it like that because I do not like turtlenecks. The skirt is a bit short- but at least it is stretchy. I like the fact that it is lined. I had to pull it down quite a bit, but it still worked. The poncho is probably the best part. The color is gorgeous. The crafstmanship is of extremely good quality. The fringe adds an extremely nice touch. And the flower pin is so cute. The beret seemed odd at first because it does not have the little flap on top that most berets have. I had a hard time putting it on Inga. But the beret gets brownie points from me because Inga is from France and half Walloon/half Russian. The boots I did not try on because they are not really Inga's style. I think they are too redundant with the ones from the "I like your style" outfit. I like the fact that they velcro on the back. But I am unlikely to use them. Overall: A+ for the sweater and poncho A- for the skirt due to length B+ for the beret Not going to grade the boots (not shown in doll photo below) Solid A overall.

I bought this outfit yesterday to transform a Nellie into a mini version of my best friend.
- The sparkles on the clogs are a very nice surprise. Clogs were very easy to put on, even on top of the socks I also bought. - Sparkly tunic is a good texture. Not super thick, but not so thin that you would need a camisole underneath or that the camisole shows up blatantly. - Jeans are not my style, but my friend likes them like that. They fit well over the panties in the underwear set. - Hair elastics are pretty pointless. If they are making a hair accessory, make a good one that will last and is not so easy to misplace.
Overall an A- Jeans could be prettier and it could bring a longer lasting hair accessory. Otherwise it is very good. My friend wears stuff like that IRL but it truly is not something I would wear myself.

I put on the sandals and corsage on Elise this time. Both are very nice surprises. I wish the sandals had a thicker elastic- but they do stay on well and are sturdy enough for my doll. The corsage looks very pretty and not out of place or extravagant in any way. This outfit still gets an A+++ from me!

I was debating on whether to get this outfit. I liked some of it, but was not too convinced about the brown. Well, upon seeing it at AGPNY on a JLY 25, I decided to go for it. And boy did I make a good decision. The border on the bottom of the dress is a very nice touch. The dress looks very pretty on the doll and works well with a lot of colorings. The headband is a very nice addition- not to mention pretty and sturdy. The length is fine- not too long nor too short. A doll can sit comfortably and would not trip on top of it. And it sure gets the A+ from me!

I have to make some additions to this thread.
I somehow found a way to make the top fit better. Whether I found the inner hook this time or what, I do not know. But now it looks quite nice. I purposely put the outfit on Elise instead of Inga for the Winter pics because the top's style shows that Lise is the older of the two.
The hair clips look gorgeous and add a very nice touch. They shine just like the skirt and shoes.
This outfit looks really good with a pearl necklace and the diamond style stick-on errings. And the silver purse from the Starry Night Accessories goes well with it too. Very good details if your doll's character is on the older side.
With the hair clips and the top cinched as it should be, I am willing to boost this outfit's grade to an A-. Would have been a solid A if it came with better stockings (although I use a different set) and if the jacket's texture were not so stiff or fuzzy.

I liked the way this outfit looked in pics.
Sadly, the pic often looks better than the actual outfit.
The shade of the sweater, which was what I worried about the most, is fine. But the texture kills it- way too fuzzy and at the same time the knit is too stiff. The wrap is fine and the side ribbon is actually cute.
Skirt is all right in its design and fabrics. Good length.
Surprisingly, the best part of this outfit would be the shoes. Very pretty Mary Jane design. They would work well with various other outfits. I used stockings other than the tights. The outfit I bought did not come with the hair clips- so I just put the barrettes from Emily's recital outfit on Elise.
The outfit overall merits a B, but the Mary Janes would be A+.

I liked the design and pattern of this dress since I saw it. And I am very happy that I finally got it after so many attempts. The dress itself is fantastic. It can work for a girl or woman of any age. It also does not seem dated. Sandals are cute, although I probably would have put a slightly thicker sole on them. They are also very versatile. Handbag is cute, though I would have put a strap that would allow it to be slung on the shoulder. Hat...eh, well, it seemed odd to me at first, but somehow it is working for this dress. Hat seems more suited for a younger age- I think it would have been better for a Bitty Twin than for a JLY doll. Also, it seems strictly decorative- as compared to the hat for the Periwinkle Dress being more useful since it serves as a sunhat. Grade- A+ for the dress itself, A for the sandals and handbag, C for the hat because after all it is not ugly nor discordant.

This is one of my favorite outfits. I do wish they had put the beads all around it, but it's acceptable as is. The quality is really good. I think the embroidery on the shirt is a very nice extra. Sometimes it is hard to keep together as a wrap, but the style is cute. A from me.
The Mary Janes in the pic are not the ones that came with this outfit.

Absolutely beautiful indeed. The color looks good on Inga (FKA Nicki). The fabric is beautiful and has a nice shimmer to it- perfect for the occassions the dress is meant for. The outfit has a top and bottom- which I was not expecting but still works out well. It also has a chiffon layer peeping from underneath- but the underskirt is taffeta and not crinoline, which is probably more comfortable for a girl wearing it. The necklace is beautiful- longer than the ones that come with the Shimmering Gold Outfit and the Periwinkle Dress. The hair comb is lovely and worked out great on Inga's hair. The shoes are just plain fantastic. Since they are white, they can be worn with other outfits and not just with this one. Very easy to put on. This outfit I cannot quite imagine on a 10 year old; but it would be perfectly fine for a 13 or 14 year old's 8th grade graduation dance. Or for a bridesmaid of any age. And it works fine as a prom dress, or even a formal dress for a young woman past her teens. Overall an A+

As my debut post, here are some pictures of my AG 25: Elise Miriam Jones. Why does she have such a vanilla surname if she's Mediterranean? Because she's adopted.
I give her an A. The only reason she's missing the + is because she has straight hair while a large majority of Mediterranean women have wavy or curly hair.

Elizabeth is absolutely beautiful. Her hair is very easy to style- and the waves add a very nice touch that make her different from other blonde dolls. The earrings are absolutely beautiful and have not fallen off. The "Meet" dress seems a bit fancy for everyday wear. The shift is a good length. The socks are better than the ones PM Felicity came with back in 1998. The shoes are absolutely beautiful and work well with her Meet dress. I like the fact that they used the second face mold for Elizabeth- adds some variety.

I was fascinated with this outfit from the moment I saw it at AGPC. The gown itself is the best. I love the fabric's shine, pattern, and colors. The design is ravishing. The headband I put it around her braid, and it still works like that. The shoes would not stay on- hence I don't use it. The gold necklace I use as a bracelet instead. I will give it an A+ for the gown, A for the outfit with all its components.

I bought this outfit for any of my present day dolls to wear- but curiously, Inga (FKA Nicki) is wearing it now. It looks FANTASTIC on her. The colors work well with Nicki's coloring in mind- and it seems to me they could work for dolls with other complexions as well.
The jacket was very easy to put on- although I think the velcro ends too soon and you can see Inga's camisole underneath it.
The skirt has more layers than what I thought. The embroidery is gorgeous- though I wish it had gone all around the skirt and not just on the front. It fits well on current Mattel dolls.
The shoes were easier to put on than what I imagined- and definitely MUCH easier to put on than the espadrilles from the Sweetheart Set. They fit over stockings- which is a very nice plus. I was not expecting their fuzzy texture, but it is not a drawback.
The hair clips worked well, are sturdy, and hold curly hair. They look cute too.
Overall, I give this outfit an A. It would be an A+ if the jacket closed better and if the pattern went all around the skirt.

I bought a Nicki doll yesterday. I am completely fascinated by her. However, before I begin my review, I have to tell you that the doll is being transformed into one of my characters and thus not staying as Nicki Fleming.
- The hair is one of my favorite aspects. So far I have had no problem combing it with the pick I bought at AGBBA. I braided it in loose braids that have stayed braided as well. - The freckles on mine are not dark at all. I put glasses on my doll, and someone cannot tell she has freckles. - Wig seems fine in thickness so far. - The outfit skirt is pretty, though I wish the belt were removable. - What's up with their making the shirt a bodysuit instead of giving her underwear? OK, so I bought the underwear set that I was planning on getting anyway. The bodysuit fits on top of the underpants and camisole. However, it is still not the easiest or most fun thing to put on. Actual bodysuit's shirt is pretty. - Boots are...cow-handy! I would have put socks under them as well- which I did.
Overall:
- A+ for the doll per se. - C+ for the outfit. Would be a solid B if it included underwear.

I bought this in Large for myself.
I'm 5'5" and 36C.
It still fit for the most part.
It is comfortable. The arms and chest fit- which were my greatest concerns. Fabric is very comfortable. Logo is lasting- I washed it once already and did not fade at all. The design works for a wide range of ages- nothing in it screams out "tween" to be honest. I could wear it to work on a casual weekend day and would not get into trouble. I wore it already to a theme park.
However, the shirt tends to be weighed backwards- perhaps due to the hoodie. Which makes the neck rise a bit too much for my tastes. When I pull it forward, then it is a bit too short on the back- not enough to show skin but still a bit too high. On somebody who is shorter and has a smaller chest this may not be a problem.
I will give it an A- due to this issue. Otherwise it is fantastic. It may merit an A or even an A+ on someone closer to the age demographic that this outfit was designed for.
