Here is my Josefina, sent to me years ago by a dear online friend because I didn't have an AG. She was my only big AG until I won Kirsten this year from the Doll Wardrobe blog. Here she is in an old photo of the first AG swap I made. It was for a Kit doll. Sewing with Mini Josefina and Sara. Playing in the shade of the tomatoes with friends. Modeling matching skirts made for my granddaughter and her little friends. Showing Kirsten around the farm. As you can see, my Josefina is a very sociable sort and rarely has her photo taken alone.

The first thing that I noticed about mini Cécile was how soft her hair is. I'm afraid that may make it a little harder to manage in the long run. The curls are rather boisterous, but can be positioned for display with judicious placement of a straight pin. Of course that won't work for play. The details on her dress are really well done and I love the deep teal color. The skirt could have been a little fuller. I think she will look good with her hair pulled back, too, if the curls get too wild. I would say A for display, but maybe B for a play doll. Here is my Mini Cécile with the hat I made for her. *mod edit to remove member's dead image link*

I have a friend who made her a comb from a piece of a small person-sized comb that she cut with pliers.

What color is the fringe on the shawl? It looks like it is gray in the photos. Also, I'm wondering if the shawl is a triangle? How big is it?

I like seeing all three mini Kirsten's together. Here is a photo of mine that arrived today. Now I am itching to try and make her winter woolens. I think AG did a great job on this mini doll. The clothing fits better than the regular mini Kirsten, especially the sleeves. I just wish her bangs were a little better behaved. They are much better than the old pie bangs, but still a little unruly and maybe a tad long. I give her an A for this reason instead of an A+.

Just as I was trying to take photos of Mini Addy, it started to rain. I'll have to try again tomorrow. She just arrived yesterday. I think they did a great job on her dress. Yes, it could be a little fuller, but I really like it. It seems that there was some concern about length. My Addy's pantalets show just a little below the dress. I also tied Mini Addy's waist ribbon tighter. That's why the buttons appear off a bit. I didn't notice until after the photo that I had made the front a bit off skew when I tightened the ribbon. As for the taffeta, I would rather have an in-scale plaid with cotton than a too-large scale taffeta. That may have been the only choices. Even AG has to go with what fabrics are available, I'm guessing, for these mini dolls. They may be able to have fabrics made in a large quantity, but these are limited edition dolls. I am amazed that they are able to get in all the details, down to the little bows on the sleeves.

My mini Addy didn't come with buttons on her dress. I will have to find some and add them. Here she is with her meet accessories that I made her.
