I picked up a beautiful Grace doll today! She has new feathered eyebrows and a new style of freckles, plus side bangs and a darker lip color. Her hair is a dark brown with auburn-ish highlights, and is long, straight, and a little layered. It's not super thick like Isabelle's, and reminds me a bit of MyAG #30's hair except with less layers, so it feels thicker than hers. It's silky and shiny, plus has the little hairs to cover her wig cap. Her eyes are a little brighter in my opinion than the standard light blue eyes, but not quite as aqua as Saige's or MG's. Overall I think she is beautiful, and though she does sort of look like a couple other dolls in terms of hair and face mold, her subtle new features make her unique to me. I looked through several dolls before picking my "Pippa" because some of their bangs were pretty messy or they had uneven eyes, but the only real thing I can think to complain about is that her braid makes her hair super crimped when you take it out (I straightened my doll's after taking the braid out) and the braided section is then much longer than the rest. I still give her a solid A! I'll take more detailed pictures in the light tomorrow, but here are a few I took in the car on the way home, and one in a new outfit in the light of the Christmas tree! ETA: A few more photos You can see her auburn highlights well in these shots:

I wasn't planning on getting this set, but when I saw it in the store, I decided the hat was too adorable to leave behind for that price. I also wanted to mention that it was advertised in Natick as "$14 with any purchase, not just a $50 purchase, which I thought was interesting! Here is my new #30 wearing the tee while eating lunch with Clarisse!

Isabelle's Coral Sweater for Dolls Item# F7353 The dance studio can be a little chilly during rehearsals, so Isabelle wears her coral sweater to warm up. Perfect for layering, it features a wide boatneck, asymmetrical hem, and long sleeves with thumbholes. $14 I was a little skeptical about the asymmetrical hem, but it is growing on me. I just love this color, and I think it will look good on pretty much any doll. The fabric is sadly not soft at all- it is scratchy and sticks to itself like velcro (I felt the girl sized version, which seemed softer than the doll one). I could fit her left hand through the sleeve without the thumbhole, but the right hand doesn't fit because of the way the pinky finger is a little further away from the other fingers on the right hand. It is not too sheer to wear without anything underneath, but if you put something dark or bright white underneath, you can see through it a little, such as the tag that shows through a bit in the back. I give it an A- overall because of the scratchy yarn, but A+ for looks!

Tutu

Isabelle's Tutu Item# F7400 Isabelle wears this pancake tutu for her Sea Fairy performance—the flowy layers of white tulle and gold mesh glimmer under the lights. $14 I wasn't planning on getting the tutu, but it was too difficult to resist. It has 4 layers of tulle: white on top, then gold, another white, and a slightly shorter layer of gold on the bottom. The waistband stretches nicely and it just slides on. The tulle is actually pretty soft, so it rolls up nicely for easy storage without getting crunched. I do think it is a little overpriced. I feel like they are reflecting the fact that real pancake tutus cost a fortune, even though this one was probably simpler to make than the $12 purple leotard, but I don't know much about how they do pricing, so I give it an A anyway!

Isabelle's Dance Skirt for Dolls Item# F7341 Isabelle loves wearing this faux-wrap skirt to dance class—it's loaded with sequins that catch the light when she pirouettes! It features a double ribbon with a bow at one side. $12 I'm a sequins lover, so this skirt was a must for my collection. I was surprised that it isn't an actual wrap skirt, it just has a tiny bit of elastic in the waist and slides on. It doesn't stretch very much, but it stretches just enough to get it on the doll. I do wish it overlapped a tiny bit more, but oh well. It does have a small "Isabelle" tag on the back. The sequins seem well attached, not like they will fall off too easily, but time will tell. It gets an A- from me!

Isabelle's Rosette Leotard Item# F7381 This ivory leotard with a mesh rosette is part of Isabelle's costume for her "Sea Fairy" performance—she imagines that she's dancing along the white caps of a dark sea of water, bathed in the light of the moon. $10 My only complaint about this one is that it is a little skimpy around the armholes. I would have liked it better if the neckline was wider so that it wouldn't show so much of her cloth body-to-arm transition, but obviously that was not enough of an issue to deter me from buying it! I give it an A-

Isabelle's Purple Leotard Item# F7369 This purple leotard is perfect for when Isabelle is practicing her jetés, or leaps, in the studio. It has short sleeves and a gold-sparkle mesh panel overlay with gold sequins that catch the light when she moves. $12 This was definitely the thing I wanted most from Isabelle's collection, and I am not disappointed! The color and detailing are so beautiful. I love that it has the pin tucks, which makes it look very realistic in my opinion. I think it looks great with both the sparkly skirt and the tutu. I give it an A!

The quality of this set is amazing! I was so surprised at how realistic it is. It hangs perfectly on the doll so she can really look like she's playing it. The detail is great and even the case is fantastic! A+ I love the velvet-y inside and the little compartment just like a real case! The straps on the back were a great idea since it is much too heavy for an elastic to attach the handle to a doll's hand

A cello isn't really an ideal instrument for a doll with no elbows, but it is so cute! The case is a little plastic-y for my taste, but overall the quality isn't too bad. I do like that it has elastic straps on the back of the case so the doll can carry it. It is a bit tricky to get a doll a good sitting position to stay and hold the instrument, but it's still very fun! My main complaint is that the peg that you pull out of the bottom to get it at the right height doesn't stay, it often just falls back in when the weight of the instrument is on it. I give it an A- The case has a nice handle and little latches The inside isn't really padded- just plastic

I got this set for my modern girls and I love it! I think it's very versatile and I am also pleased that it is a real scarf with no velcro. The materials are nice, they don't feel like cheap acrylic stuff. I give it an A+

I think Chrissa is a lovely doll, even more beautiful in person! Her hair has a nice highlight to it, with the ends slightly lighter than the top, which looks very natural. I wouldn't say it is thick, but not thin either, probably just about right for someone with straight short-ish hair. I think meet her outfit is really cute, and definitely age-appropriate. The shoes are personally not what I would pair with this dress, but they are fun! Overall I give her an A

The snowboard gear is so fun and has great playability! It's super easy to get the doll's feet in and out of the board but she stays in it and standing pretty well. The helmet is cute with a little clasp under the chin and the goggles velcro in the back. The only slightly annoying thing is that if you want the doll to wear the goggles over her eyes with the helmet on, the goggles have to go under the helmet, so you have to take the helmet off and put the goggles on top if you want them off her eyes and on the helmet (like in the picture), but that is a minor detail. Overall, I give it an A!

This is such a realistic outfit, I could totally see a snowboarder wearing it and the materials used are perfect! I also like that it isn't too matchy-matchy. The pants are snug, but I was able to get them on Mia okay, though I'm not sure how they would work on a chunkier PM doll. The hat is really cute and super soft (note that the goggles come with the snowboard gear) A+

This a really fun set with great playability! The gear includes: Boots Skis Poles Lift Ticket I bought mine second-hand, so I don't have the lift ticket, but the other items are great! The boots are a bit tricky to get on, but not too bad, and they buckle like real ski boots. They don't seem particularly sturdy, but they work. I was skeptical about how the doll would stand in the skis, but I have had no problem getting her to stand at all! The poles have a flexible plastic handle that allows the doll to grip the poles very easily I give it an A! (mod edit to thread title)

This is such a great outfit! I like that the colors are unique and it is very realistic! The snow-pants even have the under-layer with elastic by the ankle like real snow-pants which I thought was cool.

Rebecca is one of the most beautiful AG dolls hands down. She looks great in everything and I just adore her curls! Her wig is a bit thin, but the curls have so much volume, you definitely can't tell by looking at her. Her meet dress seemed a little awkward at first with the drop waist, but with a little adjusting, it looks really cute! I give her an A+!

I think these glasses are very cute! Lalaine (#8) used to wear the round silver glasses, but they looked very out of style, so I updated her a little with the rectangle glasses and they are great! I didn't really have trouble getting them to sit straight. I like the color with her red hair too!
