My cuffs yellowed too, but I don't have a problem with snagging. I think it's a little tight on some of the PC dolls. Here's Josefina sporting the red side: and Addy in the purple: The tag sticks out a little bit on the purple side. Here the jacket not on a doll:

For $16 you certainly do get a lot from this set:
The face mask sticks okay. But I wonder if you left it on for a long period of time if it would come off. The flip flops don't have a backing but they stay on pretty well. They're just made of foam.
This is actually the first time my dolls are using the cucumbers as they were meant to be used. They mostly use them to go with salads they make, or they put them on their hamburgers when they can't find real lettuce. It fits AG hamburgers perfectly.
There aren't too many sparkles in my face mask.

This outfit comes with a robe, slippers and weirdly shaped hair towel:
The robe is super soft and thick. Even the belt tie is thick. I love the embroidery of mirrors on the back and front. It fits the dolls very well.
The slippers are cute too, but they don't have a backing so they never stay on doll feet.
The weird part about this outfit is the towel thing. It took me the longest time to figure out how to get it on the doll.
I have no clue if I actually did this right, but here's what I did: This is Kathy (Gotz precious day doll). I grabbed all of her hair, clipped it and put it on top of her head and laid her face down. Then I put the towel on top of her hair, gathered it all into the towel, twisted it, and tied it with the ribbon that's attached to the towel.
It took me a long time to make sure I had all the hair packed into the towel but I think with practice, I'll be able to do it faster. I also think it would be easier with thinner haired dolls.

That works out because I only have the star pillow, journal and pencil! The pillow goes with everything and I love the pocket.

I couldn't find a thread for this so I'm starting a new one. This guitar is very cool and very heavy. I got mine used without the strap but I would think a doll would tip over if she wore the guitar. It's very glittery and plays little rock clips when you press the buttons. You can press the strings and it plays too. It comes with a shiny case.

I love this outfit! The Velcro is soft and the dress is so pretty. Jess looks very pretty in it. Up close photo of the paisley print and bracelet. *mod edit to remove dead image links* I think this is the hair clip it came with but I'm not sure.

I like everything about this outfit except the bottom part of the top. If the shirt were longer, I would have been okay with it, but I don't like having part of my doll's sides exposed. I like the pink fringes on the sleeves and neck and the beading is pretty but the hem just looks dumb. *mod edit to remove dead images*

I couldn't find this in the accessories section so I started a new thread. This set comes with SO much! Everything fits in this pretty metal trunk including a headset that clips to the fringed belt, adorable pink sunglasses, a flower necklace, stick on earrings and toenail decals.
The whole outfit with the accessories: Up close of the necklace and sunglasses.
I love this set so much I actually have two of them so my dolls can sing together with their headsets and hear each other! The belt attaches with Velcro and has little beads at the bottom of the fringe.

I also really like this outfit. Here's Katelynne with just the shirt and skirt. Both items mix and match so well and look great with Isabelle's highlights. I love this beading!! Here she is with the detachable collar. It hooks onto the jacket. *mod edit to remove dead image links*

Most of her accessories aren't in her books, but her handkerchief and nickel serve a very important purpose in Kit's surprise where she saves all of her nickels from Uncle Hendrick and presents them to her mother wrapped up in this hankie. I just wish there were more nickels!

My dolls love this set and play with it a lot. Carlie with the bear: The magic 8 ball: The Twister game is the best part. Here it is right out of the box: Here is everything except the mat. I don't know why the socks don't match. Emily, Elianna, Molly and Sonali all have fun playing Twister!

I love this nightshirt. It can be for winter or summer since the sleeves are 3 quarters. I love the tie-dye type colors and the star print. It looks the best on dolls with long hair. The slippers are almost exactly the same as the slippers from the plaid robe. Mine are just a tad darker pink but that could just be the batch of slippers too. I give this an A+. *mod edit to remove dead image link*

I love these accessories too! Here it is all laid out:
The sunblock is cute but the postcards are kind of boring. I LOVE the sunglasses and Kanani looks great with her lei. It looks very authentic.
Although the towel is very cute and I love the print, it's too small to fully wrap around a doll:
I've done my best to fold the towel and tie it to the bottom of the bag:
I'd give this an A (no plus because towel is too short.)

I love this plaid robe because it goes with so many of the 90s pjs and probably some others too. You do kind of have to buy some pjs because by itself, it's rather revealing. The slippers are thick pink socks with a non-slip American Girl marking. *mod edit to remove dead image links*

I like this pj set too and it is great for summer. I actually don't have a problem getting the tank top on. I don't pull it over the head I just slide it up the bum.
PJs without the robe. The buttons on the shorts are fake but they look cute.
And Jess in the full outfit. I love the robe!

The plaid nightie does not come with a hair tie but it does come with a mini book, Crafts for Girls. I think it looks great on Emily. Although the material isn't all that thick it still looks really warm because of the high neck. I rate it an A- because it is kind of boring. *mod edit to remove dead image links*

I got these hair beads with a JSD purchase. You get two in the package and they're both different. They have a cheap flimsy pink flower clasp at the top that I felt was going to break at any moment and it doesn't hold much hair. But the beads are nice and long and colorful. I think they go with pink outfits the best. Here is Ellie May wearing them: I would grade this a C+.

I love this set too! Forks are metal, napkins are cloth. I have a hard time folding them into the napkin rings but the rings do have elastic so they can stretch. The mint chips are SO tiny and easy to loose but great for careful adult collectors! The cupcakes look real and are sort of soft but not as soft as a real cupcake. I don't really care for the starfish cake. My dolls were shocked that it was even a cake! They thought it was just a decoration. I would have preferred a real looking regular cake, but that's okay. It's nice and heavy. Here are Lea and Isabelle celebrating:

My brush is really old, it also still has the PC sticker on it many of the bristles have fallen out and the rubber parts are beginning to come off in little chunks. I have a spare one for when it really disintegrates. But I too, like the feel of it in my hands.

I bought this outfit on sale for Isabelle. I really like it. Mine fits perfectly and the skirt part holds its shape very well. The sequins are sewn/embedded in the fabric so I highly doubt they would ever come off. The finger less gloves are Isabelle's favorite part of the outfit and very easy to get on. The shoes are similar to Izzy's meet shoes, just a different style. The bow barrette is the only downfall to this outfit. It's all cheap plastic and I was terrified I'd break it opening and closing it. I also don't like the choker but that's just my personal opinion. I think it looks like the doll is wearing a dog collar. It closes with velcro. I like how this outfit is the dance outfit it's supposed to be, but it could also be a fancy 4th of July outfit or even Christmas outfit if your dolls put on a Christmas show. I'd rate this outfit an A- due to the barrette and choker.

I really like the look of this outfit but if you're fussy about the doll's vinyl matching the sleeves/chest area of the dress, not all dolls will look good in this. Also, some sequins have fallen off the dress part and the slippers and two of the sea creatures have fallen off the wrap. I'd give this outfit an B+.

I'm not a skier at all, but I love Nicki's ski outfit. Since I have her ski gear, I'm glad that her ski outfit came with slippers instead of boots. They are a nice variety from your normal boot or regular slipper and they look really comfy. I also like how the snow pants Velcro on the side of the leg making it really easy to put the boots on. The mittens are really thick and match the color of her vest. The vest has Velcro and the hood really does fit my Nicki as long as I tuck her hair inside the vest. I would never wear something like this because I'd want long sleeves in case I fall, but Nicki is such a good skier she's probably fine with just the vest. Her shirt is my favorite part of the outfit. It goes so well with jeans and I love the color. AG doesn't make red shirts very often. The color isn't bright red, it's more rusty red with loopy embroidery on the collar and sleeves. I give this outfit an A+

I too, love this set. It's definetly the best AG ski set I own (I have the downhill ski gear too). It comes with more things and the skis are shorter than the downhill which I like. The boots are wonderfully easy to get on.
The heel bends back for easy access:
Look how roomy it is! The downhill boot can't do that.
I love the colors of the helmet. I decorated mine with the stickers.
The goggles are detachable in the back with a snap:
The ski pole isn't too hard to get on especially if you put it on the mitten before putting on the doll's hand.
The skis themselves are really easy to get on. You just pull the part that attaches to the boot back and slide the boot in.
The flags are such a cute addition and make the skiing play so much more fun and realistic. The green one says start, yellow is American Girl and orange is finish. They stay in their holders very well.
You want some real photos of Nicki really skiing in real snow? Well, here you go!
McKenna is in the downhill ski gear.

I really like this outfit as it comes with so many pieces. My dolls often use the shirt as a sleeping shirt because its so long. I have a few problems with it though. First, make sure you put socks on your doll because my Molly's feet were stained purple by the skates. The helmet seems to make my dolls top heavy and they are prone to falling down a lot at least without a stand. Other than that I think it's great.

I bought this kayak set when AG offered the bundle sale on Lea and her kayak for $150. I told myself I was paying $30 for the set and full price for the doll. This set is NOT worth the $85 price tag. Yes, it's really nice and very fun to play with, but how often is anyone really going to play with it? And probably only in the summer? Anyway, here is my review with lots of pics: It comes in a long box that is special to the GOTY:
There was not protection (I don't think it really needs to be that well packed since it's plastic.) The whole set came in a clear bag:
Here are the instructions for putting the kayak together (It's really not at all complicated):
The sail comes folded up but you just bend the plastic sticks to unfold it. It has Lea's signature turtle logo on it:
The life jacket and camera were in their own bag:
The life jacket has a zipper and a plastic buckle both of which seems slightly fragile. I didn't have too hard of a time undoing the plastic clasp but it might be tricky for a child.
The back of the vest is just plain white which is too bad because I love the print on the front.
On the inside of the jacket there is a message that made me burst out laughing: This is not a floatation device! Do not put your doll in water!
I'm one of those risk takers who plan to take this kayak out on the lake when I go on vacation this summer to see if it floats. I will try an 18" doll who can get wet first, and if it works (or if it doesn't) I'll come back to this review and let you know with pics what happens.
Here is the front of the underwater camera. What really stinks about this is you need clear rubber bands for the doll to hold it. Yes, it has a strap for her to carry, but if she can hold her camera from her meet accessories realistically why couldn't AG have made this camera with the little loopholes too?
the back shows her latest "pic" of sea turtles.
And now for the kayak itself. It's hard heavy duty plastic. It is much heavier than I expected. Even the seat is hard plastic. I was pleased to see that both little inserts for the bottom of the kayak fit in the plastic holders. That way I can keep them both in there all the time and not have to worry about loosing them.
bottom of the kayak:
Here's a pic of the kayak with the inserts removed.
reverse side: Lea fits PERFECTLY in the kayak without any trouble. It's like AG totally custom made it to fit the dolls (obviously they did!). It's also very easy for her to hold the paddle. My Lea looks strange because I haven't taken her hair net off.
Details of the kayak:
I thought, hmm, could more than one doll fit in the kayak? Well, yes, as long as the dolls don't mind sitting on top of one another. It works a lot better without the sail. Here are Lea and Jess.
I was able to get Jess's kayak out and compare the two. Jess's kayak is much longer of course.
I'll update this again in the summer when I take the kayaks out on the lake!

I bought this after Saige had retired when it became a PWP at the store. I agree with everyone else that the material of the tunic is weird, it's ve-ry tight on my dolls. Poor Amy is complaining she can't feel her arms because it's so tight.
I also don't like the yellow stitching in the jeans. Luckily, most of the shirts they wear hide this.

I also love Kailey's wet suit and bikini. I kind of prefer it to be a tankini but it's not too bad. The wet suit zips! Hooray for no Velcro!
Like it shows in the catalog, my Katelynne (I don't have Kailey) can wear the wetsuit on top of the bikini.
Here's a look at the back. Her neck strings kind of stick out, so I bet this would look good on Lea.
AG's logo is on the front on the leg. It looks like it could glow in the dark. I don't think it does.
Here's a pic of the soles of the water shoes. My dolls wear these shoes all the time, not just in the "water". They're so easy to slip on and way better quality than my human water shoes that fell apart my first day in Hawaii!
