Grace's French Bakery arrived today! I couldn't take it, I had to have it. I haven't felt this "must have now" feeling since Lanie's camper. I raised money selling unused/non played with AG, promptly ordered it Monday morning, and it already is here by Wednesday. I couldn't believe it. It seems they ship large items a lot faster. I will say I absolutely do not regret this purchase and I love love love it!
There are a few disappointing things at this price point. Number one, the open/closed sign is basically a sturdy cardboard, was hoping it was more substantial. One of the bread sleeves came with the two sides of paper stuck together, so you can't get the bread in. Also, the lights don't work. What?!? That's just nuts. The La Pattiserie sign that hangs on the side of it is plastic, wish it was more substantial too. One other thing that surprised and bugged me is the flour/sugar boxes are just boxes. They don't have the hard little insert inside to make them more substantial, some other AG pieces I have do like the graham crackers. These little things shouldn't be a problem here as my DD is 10 and really takes care of our stuff, but I would be cautious letting a younger child play with this unattended.
I LOVE the food! Love love love it. Love every other little thing about it. It is HUGE, wider than Lanie's camper and deeper. I took a pic next to it to get an idea(Lighting wasn't that good from that angle). Lots and lots of play value here. You could even take the sink, refrigerator, and bakery stand out and make it into a bedroom. You could make it into a clothing store, so many options! The build quality of the room is very very nice, just like Lanie's camper. Anyhow, here's some quick pics I took during setup!
Out of box, before roof was put on:
Next to Lanie's Camper:
Extras:
Hope this helped some of you!
ETA: A couple pics showing how other furniture fits inside the Bakery...
