This item was introduced in 2017 and retired in 2019.Maryellen is ready to make a splash with this bright swim outfit! It includes: A one-piece flamingo-print swimsuit with a bloomer bottom, Two-tone sandals with knotted bows and ankle straps, A pink hair ribbon attached to a ponytail holder, A fabulous flamingo-shaped purse, Spiffy pink cat-eye sunglasses.I purchased this outfit on a whim, and I am so glad I did! The ensemble looks darling on Maryellen. The shoes are amazing and definitely my favorite part with the cute striped bows. The sunglasses are standard AG plastic. The flamingo purse is very plastic, but it looks good with the set. The suit itself is really nice and the fabric print has a subtle stripe to it in addition to the flamingos. The bottom part poofs out a little bit like bloomers and the back has shirring so it stretches for a snug fit. There is a tiny bit of Velcro that attaches the strap at the back of the neck.

I really wanted this set because the mixer is a mini version of my own! I love that it comes with the interchangeable paddle and whisk attachments. As for the other accessories, they are ok. I like the box of flour and I'm glad to have another wooden spoon in my collection. The measuring cups seem so teeny tiny and I'm indifferent about the tablet.
I bought this when it was a daily deal for half price at $34. For that price I think it's a great set. $68 is steep for what you get. As much as I wanted the mixed I'm not sure that I would have broken down and bought it for full price.

I bought this outfit with Nellie in mind and I think it looks great on her. I love the top and bloomers. The bloomer material is really soft. The embroidery is pretty and the colors are springy. I think it's nice that it came with a hairbow and a hat, though I'm not sure how much I'll end up using the hat.
I do agree with other posters that the gaiters may not hold up very well.

Julie's Bike was on my list for a long time and then I kicked myself for not buying it before the price went up to $100 a few years ago. The cost went up again (not sure when) and is now $115. I ended up getting mine on eBay for quite a bit less.
The good: The bike frame is metal, very well made and sturdy. The tires feel like real tires! I really love the little basket, and the whole thing is just perfect for Julie.
The not so good: The elastic on the foot pedals seems to stretch out easily. Most of the bikes I looked at on eBay had this issue. I don't think it's really a big deal as I was able to balance Julie on the bike without using the elastic. Also, the loops on the handlebars don't really line up well to actually put her hands in them. Again, not a huge deal, but just wanted to point that out.
Overall, I love the bike and am so happy to have it in my collection now!

Sunny Isle Outfit for Dolls + Charm Item# G0442
The weather is warm, the skies are sunny, and she can't wait to get to the beach! This My American GirlĀ® outfit includes: A cheery yellow ruffle top with double straps and squiggly embroidery at the neck Tropical-print shorts Orange flip-flop sandals that have beads at the toes and elastic heel straps to keep them in place A tropical-flower hair accessory for a pretty touch A "Kind" square charm for the doll's charm-keeper necklace
$28
I love this outfit. It's so colorful and cheerful. The beading and embroidery on the top are a very nice touch. The top and shorts fit really well too. I also like the orange elastic on the flip flops and think it'll hold up a lot better than the clear elastic they usually use. I would give this outfit an A+.

I purchased this outfit when it was the in store PWP and I'm very pleased with it. I love the colors and the print. The fit is great and I had no issues getting the top on. The shoes are really cute and slip on easily. The shorts are great, very well made. I would give this an A+.

Released in Fall 2014, retired in November 2023.
She comes in an authentic 1930s outfit: A bright blue-green sleeveless dress with a Peter Pan collar, red flower-shaped buttons, and a gathered skirt with a vivid floral print, A red barrette for her hair, White bloomers, Scarlet shoes.
Kit's Outfit Item# BKD74
Kit is ready for any news story in her favorite floral dress! This authentic 1930s outfit includes: -A bright blue-green sleeveless dress with a Peter Pan collar, bright red flower-shaped buttons, and a flared skirt with a vivid floral print -Ruffled white bloomers -Strappy scarlet shoes with white faux stitching
-A hair barrette
I purchased Kit's outfit as soon as it came out. Despite the fact that the barrette was listed in the item description it was not included in the outfit.
I love everything about this outfit. The deep turquoise color is really pretty. The flower buttons are really cute and go well with the floral print on the skirt. The shoes have a nice long strap, and it looks like there's more Velcro than some of the older shoes allowing for an easier fit. One shoe was definitely easier to get on than the other. I had the same issue with Addy's new meet boots too. Maybe my girls just have big feet (or 1 big foot). These shoes are the same style as Samantha's new meet shoes, just a different color with additional stitching. The hat she is pictured with is from Kit's School Skirt Set and though the pink is not an exact match I think it looks pretty good with the dress.
The only downside is the price. $36 for a sleeveless dress and shoes is a bit much and it really should have come with the barrette. Despite that I still give this an A+ because I really do love it that much!
Color comparison between her new dress and the hat from her School Skirt Outfit.

I purchased this in April 2014 when it was on sale for $21. I really like the nice gray color of the dress. Yay for neutrals! The dress itself is a nice material and fits well. The shoes are a dark charcoal gray color and very shiny. The headband is cute too but as others have mentioned it has the ridiculously long tag on it. Overall I'm very happy with this outfit.

Camo Jumper Outfit for Dolls + Book
Item# V5976
Your girl can get ready for playtime fun with her Bitty Twin! This outfit includes: A denim overall jumper with a kangaroo pocket and a camo-print skirt A pink puff-sleeved tee to layer underneath Knee-high boots to keep her comfy Includes the Bitty Twins Go for a Ride book for girls
Original price $24
This is the first Bitty outfit I've purchased. I considered it when it first came out, but I don't have any Bittys and I wasn't sure how it would look on an 18" AG. I ended up getting on sale (April 2014) for $12 which I thought was a great price!
Overall I think it's really cute! The shirt and jumper are a little bit on the short side, but not enough to really bother me. The boots have soft soles. I'm guessing that's normal with Bitty shoes. But, they do fit the 18" dolls and don't look bad. The pink shirt is nice and will work well for mixing and matching with other pieces.

This set was $28 regular price.
I love the furry jacket! It's lined with a satin material and is made very well. It works with both of the holiday dresses that came out this year, although it fits a bit funny on the Sparkle Party dress due to the large flower.
The bracelet is nice and has a different type of clasp than previous bracelets. I had just as hard a time getting this one on as other ones, but it did fit and looks pretty. The little tree is cute but comes with a giant tag that I haven't taken off yet. The candy cane card comes flat and you have the fold it. The stocking is nice, and is also well made. Overall I like the set, it comes with some nice pieces, but I think it's a little over priced.

Sparkle Party Dress for Dolls + Charm
Item# F6161
Her doll can sparkle from head to toe for the holidays! This fantastically festive outfit has everything her doll needs to get ready for a shimmering holiday party, including: A fancy ruby-red dress trimmed with rosettes and rhinestones, featuring a mesh bubble-skirt with a sparkly holographic print and a satin sash Cream-colored tights Sparkly red shoes to match her dress A rhinestone-studded headband to complete her look with lots of brilliant sparkle A "Fair" heart charm for the doll's charm-keeper necklace
I have several other red holiday AG dresses so I almost passed on this one, but I really love the bubble skirt. The flower is way too big in my opinion, but otherwise I really like the dress. The bodice also has mesh fabric covering it like the skirt. I love the shoes! They would be perfect ruby slippers for Dorothy. The fur jacket that comes with the accessories doesn't fit super well over this dress because the giant flower is in the way. I'm too chicken to take the flower off...but if this dress ever goes on clearance for a good deal I might pick one up to experiment with.

I bought this dress with my #30 in mind and I think it looks great on her. I tried it on Saige also, but I didn't like it on her at all. The dress itself is a nice thick material. The tights are standard fare, and the shoes are cute. I really love the roses on the middle, they are a nice size. The headband is ok, but I think the sequin flower part is kind of ugly. Please excuse the crappy cell phone pic. I wanted to at least show you what it looks like on Saige. Added 12/21/21: Here are a few updated pictures of this dress on Luciana. The roses around the band are still my favorite part, so delicate and pretty.

Here are a couple pictures of her chair in a room setting. I love the colors, and the fact that the ottoman top lifts off for storage.

I love mini Addy in her holiday dress. Her earrings stick out a little funny, but otherwise she's perfect.

I like this dress quite a bit, although I'm not sure the color is right for Saige. The band around the middle goes all the way around the back which is a plus. There is also a bit of tulle around the bottom of the lining layer which is a nice touch. The boots are realy cute, I like that they're low cut which makes them different from all the other AG cowboy boots. The necklace is pretty and will look good with many other outfits. Overall this is a great outfit, a solid A.

Mini Ivy is super cute. I love her boots and I think her meet outfit looks better in miniature than on 18" Ivy. In the Amazon stock photo the bottoms of Ivy's boots are black, but mine are tan.

The felt hat is nice and is made with a thick material that should have no problem holding it's shape. It's nicer in person than it looks in AG's pictures. I haven't taken the helmet out of the package yet, so no thoughts on that one right now. I don't know that I would have purchased this set by itself, but I got the starter set and it was included.

I picked this up at the cyber monday sale for $18, but would never have paid full price for it. I love the shoes and think they could be used with a lot of different outfits. The skirts seems too long, or too poofy to me...not quite sure. The sweater is a nice color, but it's a bit thin and a tad too short. The headband is cute and plain enough that it can be used with other outfits too.

Parlor
Sept 9, 2012 10:36:46 GMT -5
Post by dragonflybg on Sept 9, 2012 10:36:46 GMT -5
The parlor set is heavy and sturdy and came very well packed and protected. I love that there is built in storage with the drawers and window seat. As others have mentioned the window seat is a little short and makes sitting awkward but it does work. There is an elastic loop in one corner of the curtain that's supposed to hold it up, but I think a piece of ribbon or something that ties may have looked a little better. The firescreen is embroidered and is very well made. The wood is similar in color to Rebecca's settee, but it has a matte finish where as the settee has a shiny finish. The horse is plastic and looks odd with a blue mane and tail, red blobs on it's body and a wonky looking back leg on one side. The rest of the accessories are great. The ship is plastic, but has fabric sails. The fabric is folded over on one side so you can really only display one side of the ship. The sailor's valentine has a nice rich wood frame. I love that the picture/mirror is 2 sided so you can change the look. I think this would work well in a modern setting too if you change up some of the accessories. Overall I would give this set a solid A. Bench fabric: Fireplace detail: Window seat curtain: Weird, blobby horse:
