Released in 2014, retired in 2018.
Kit's Photographer Outfit Item# BKD79 Kit will be pretty as a picture when she snaps that perfect shot! This outfit includes:
A dress with a lemon-yellow bodice, a pair of grosgrain bows on the scalloped waist and neckline, and a geometric-print skirt A coral pointelle-knit cardigan with white flower-shaped buttons A big matching hairbow Shoes with bows on the toesKit Photographer outfit 4 by Elizabeth, on Flickr This is another outfit that I fell in love with as soon as I saw the sneak peeks of it. I was surprised that it wasn't a blouse and skirt. That's what I thought when I first saw it. I still love it as a dress. If you do buy this outfit check it close. The one I got had puckering on the sleeves, a crooked bow and one sleeve was longer than the other. AG of course sent me a replacement. Here's a comparison between the two I got. Kit Meet II 2 by Elizabeth, on Flickr I fell in love with this outfit as soon as I saw those first sneak peeks of it. I had some real sticker shock when I first saw the price, but it didn't stop me from buying it. It is a little mind boggling that this is the most expensive of Kit's new outfits. But I bought it because I wanted the dress and barrette. Well, we all know how well THAT worked out! : After an email and three phone calls, AG came through with the missing barrette. Until the Meet II barrette came I used the red barrette from Kit's Hairstyling Set. It matches really well. Kit Meet II 1 by Elizabeth, on Flickr After the barrette came I took some comparison pictures between the red bow barrette and the Meet II barrette. From what everybody had said I was expecting it to be more pink. I can barely tell the difference in color between the two. I'm still glad I was able to get one. Kit uses her barrettes a lot! Addy's Tin Pail Lunch was made by Pleasant Company and American Girl and is reviewed in its own thread. This thread is for the BeForever Lunch Pail (and for comparisons between this version and the earlier Tin Pail Lunch). This set was released in 2014 and retired in 2017. It is associated with Addy Learns a Lesson.Momma packs Addy a special lunch for school, including: A pretend bunch of juicy grapes. A make-believe meat pie. A pretend cookie that spells out “LOVE”. A pretty checked napkin to spread out under her meal. A metal pail with a removable lid to carry it all.Old version vs new version. PC is on the left, AG is on the right. Addy school lunch 1 by Elizabeth, on Flickr I was shocked at how much heavier the new pail is. I used my postal scale to weigh them. PC pail is 1.4 oz. AG pail is 5.1 oz! Addy school lunch 2 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Napkins are the same size and shape. Addy school lunch 3 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Addy school lunch 4 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Addy school lunch 5 by Elizabeth, on Flickr For the most part I prefer the PC version. The new pail is a lot studier though. It's less likely to be crushed flat if a heavy object would fall in it. And this is the one and only time that I prefer the clumped cookies. Those PC cookies are so tiny! I'm always paranoid that I'm going to lose them. SailorMolly

I had a lot of goth friends in high school. While I was going through my doll clothes I tried to think about what they wore in high school. Granted most of my goth friends were boys.... I also tried to think about what Abby from NCIS would wear. AGPC black tee, AGP jeans, AGOT black high tops Saige goth 3 by Elizabeth, on Flickr These were the darkest blue jeans that I have. I don't have any black jeans. But they also almost never wore shorts. But in my doll clothes I only have shorts, no army green long pants. Black shirt, plaid skirt, MyAG black fashion boots Saige goth 6 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The skull is an iron on patch that I temporarily taped onto a black shirt. That's why it may look a bit odd. I love, Love, LOVE these PJs!!! As soon as the first pictures were leaked I knew I had to have it. Jess Reindeer PJs 1 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The top is a thick knit fabric. The reindeer picture is an iron-on. The AG logo down by the hem is a sewn on patch. the pants are a very shiny satin. Jess Reindeer PJs 2 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The slippers are like Lanie's or Jess's. They're very plush with with an elastic strap to hold them on the doll's feet. They have snowflakes embroidered on them. The best part is the reindeer headband! Jess Reindeer PJs 3 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The headband is made of felt and elastic. It stays on the doll's head nicely. But it does have one of the obnoxiously big tags. : Jess Reindeer PJs 4 by Elizabeth, on Flickr At least the tag is in the back. This set is SUPER cute and I'd give it an A+++!!!!! SailorMolly

I wasn't expecting to like any of Caroline's clothes, but I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it. Of course it doesn't hurt that I love purple. Lanie is standing in as my "Caroline". Lanie Cs Holiday Dress 1 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The fabric is a thick, woven fabric. The flower pattern isn't embroidered or ironed on. It's more like it woven in. Here's a view with the hem flipped up so you can see both sides. Lanie Cs Holiday Dress 6 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The headband matches Lanie's hair perfectly. Lanie Cs Holiday Dress 2 by Elizabeth, on Flickr It does have that obnoxiously big tag, but I just rolled it up and tucked it under the headband. That works for now. I may end up cutting it off at some point. Lanie Cs Holiday Dress 3 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Lanie Cs Holiday Dress 4 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The gloves were a little snug the first time I put them on. But it was easier the second and third time. Lanie Cs Holiday Dress 5 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The one thing I don't like about the gloves is the tag on the inside. The gloves are so tight that the tag is visible and leaves a fairly ugly lump. The shoes are some of the prettiest shoes that AG has ever made. I'd love to have a pair for myself. Lanie Cs Holiday Dress 7 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Please excuse the indecent ankle picture. ;D I was having trouble getting the shoes on over a pair of Addy's (or Cécile's) white knee high socks. I eventually did get the shoes on with the socks, but it took a lot of effort and a large paper clip. I'm hoping they'll stretch out over time. This item was released in 2012 and retired in 2015.Caroline's family spends time together in their elegant parlor, featuring a built-in bookshelf, fireplace, and window overlooking the bay. This set features a fancy scene your girl can set up different ways for different playtimes: Three wooden walls that can be arranged any way your girl chooses. A window seat that hinges open for storage space. A paned window with a lacy curtain frames a view of Lake Ontario. She can slide in the illustrated window scene—different images on each side let her choose the season! The center wall features a mantle and a make-believe fireplace that really lights up. A built-in wall shelf features pull-out drawers, plus a hutch that's perfect for displaying Caroline's treasures. A model ship with real cloth sails. A painted horse figurine and a metal candlestick. A "sailor's valentine"—a two-piece wooden frame with a collection of faux shells inside. An embroidered fireplace screen that she can adjust, just like the real thing! Caroline would have used it to soften the glow from the hearth and shield her face from the heat. A framed mirror can be hung above the mantle for the finishing touch—or turned around to reveal a nautical painting! Finished dimensions: W: 43 1/2" x H: 23 1/2" x D: 6 1/2"I received Cécile's Caroline's Parlor on Sat. First I want to warn anybody that's thinking about buying this set, the shipping box is HUGE!!!!! How huge? It measures 25 inches tall by 18 inches wide by 26 inches long. I wish I could have weighed the box before I opened it. But our bathroom scale doesn't like to weigh anything that isn't a human being. Parlor Day 1 by Elizabeth, on Flickr You open the big box only to find three more boxes! Parlor Day 2 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Each one of these boxes has one section in it. The Fireplace Parlor Day 5 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The Shelf Unit Parlor Day 7 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The Window Seat Parlor Day 11 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Inside the window there is a smaller box. That box has all the accessories in it. Parlor Day 12 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Parlor Day 13 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The window has a card with the scenery on it that's reversible. The card measures 9 3/4 inches by 13 1/2 inches. "Sunny day" side Parlor Day 14 by Elizabeth, on Flickr "Stormy day" side Parlor Day 15 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Or you can leave the card out and have a window that you can see through. The fire shield is wood with an embroidered design. 10 inches tall (about) by 3 inches wide. Parlor Day 28 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Parlor Day 29 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The shield is also adjustable. Parlor Day 30 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Sailor's Valentine Parlor Day 31 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The shells are just a picture printed on paper and put in the frame. The frame is wood. I don't know if this is true on all of them, but on mine the hinge is really loose. Each half is 2 1/2 inches across by 2 1/2 inches tall. Horse and Candle Parlor Day 32 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The horse is hard plastic. He's 2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches tall. I don't know why they couldn't have used plaster or something like that..... The candle is plastic, but the candle holder is metal. The candle is 2 1/4 inches tall and the base is about 1 3/4 inches across. Model Ship Parlor Day 33 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The ship is plastic with cloth sails. It's 5 inches long and 4 1/2 inches tall. Mirror/Painting combo There is a hole in the wall above the fireplace. Parlor Day 34 by Elizabeth, on Flickr That is where the mirror hangs. The mirror has a peg on it's frame that goes in that hole. Parlor Day 35 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The piece with the peg on it turns around so you can change the mirror into a painting. Parlor Day 37 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Parlor Day 39 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The logs in the fireplace are plastic and molded onto the log rack. The logs light up as if the fireplace was lit. It takes 3 AAA batteries and you need a screwdriver to get the cover off. The button to turn the "fire" on is on the bottom and has an automatic shutoff. The whole piece is 4 3/4 inches long by 3 1/4 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall. The window seat Parlor Day 43 by Elizabeth, on Flickr My only real complaint with this set is that the window seat is rather small. I wanted to sit Cécile sideways so she could put her feet up on the seat. But the seat is too short. It would need to be about 2 in longer for that. And the seat really isn't deep enough for her to sit with her legs sticking out. It took me quite a while to get her balanced just right. I think I will be using the window seat to display pets or accessories. Overall I give the set an A-. The minus is for the window seat being too small. This is a beautiful set and is well worth the $300 price tag. The rest of my photos can be seen here. flic.kr/s/aHsm3QenPXSailorMolly

I love this set! It's a bit pricey at $68, but everything except the food is glass. C and MG glassware 1 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The biggest thing that you have to watch out for is that in some sets the glasses are different sizes! C and MG glassware 2 by Elizabeth, on Flickr As you can see, it's a BIG difference! I ordered my set through my PS during the "sell out panic". My mom paid for the set and put it up for my birthday. After I received it for my birthday I noticed that the glasses were different sizes. I called my PS about the problem and asked her to check to see if they had any sets that the glasses were the same size. She pulled two sets from the stock room and checked them. Both sets were like mine. So she just swapped the glasses around so that there was a short set and a tall set. She let me pick which set I wanted. I picked the tall set. When the replacement set came I just swapped glasses since I had already opened all the food. My PS was grateful that I informed her of this defect. She hadn't heard anything about it. Now she is going to be much more aware when she sells this set and check the glasses. Both of us are baffled as to how this defect could even happen since the glasses are made with a mold. When I first saw this set online I was afraid that the fruit was going to be all one clump and the beignets clumped. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they weren't. Yes, the peach is clumped with the apple and the pear is clumped with the lemon. But I can live with that. C and MG glassware 5 by Elizabeth, on Flickr C and MG glassware 6 by Elizabeth, on Flickr C and MG glassware 4 by Elizabeth, on Flickr C and MG glassware 3 by Elizabeth, on Flickr I highly recommend that if you want this set, you order it through a PS so they can check the glasses for you.SailorMolly

I picked this up from AG's Last Chance Sale page. I also bought the girl sized version for myself. This is a white bucket hat. The inside of the brim is lined with hot pink/magenta fabric. The pink stripe around the hat is a woven cord. The AGP logo and city are embroidered on in the same hot pink/magenta color. I just bought this shirt from AG's Last Chance sale page. I love, LOVE, *LOVE* the design on it!!!!! AGPLA tee 1 by Elizabeth, on Flickr But I'm a little baffled as to why they decided to leave the cuffs of the sleeves and the bottom hem of the shirt raw edges. AGPLA tee 2 by Elizabeth, on Flickr AGPLA tee 3 by Elizabeth, on Flickr AGPLA tee 4 by Elizabeth, on Flickr It does give the shirt a different "look".... But it feels very... unfinished. It's just very strange. I've never seen a shirt (doll size OR people size) made like this. I'd give the shirt an A+ for the design on the shirt, but a C for the design of the shirt. SailorMolly
