I got my Jess yesterday and took her hair out last night-her hair seems fine, other than a couple strands breaking off when I was trying to get it out of the braids-but the plastic bands are tricky for me-I use them for small braids usually. Mine was actually purchassed in March so I had to wait awhile until I could actually play with her. Jess is a wicked cute doll who has lots of personality. Her hair is a pretty color with the red highlights. I think her meet outfit is cute. I would wear a skirt like hers if I had one. The halter top can pair with a plain pair of jeans or shorts. Her sandals are nice and versatile, too. ETA: A new paragraph, above, and a couple more photos of my lovely Jess:

I give this an A+ as well! It's a wonderful book and full of neat activities, like hosting a fandango or putting your hair in pin curls or making petite fours. And the info in it is interesting.

I got my Coconut on Feb. 1st, 2007, with Marina. A couple days ago I realized he has a funky eye, almost like a doll's silver eye perhaps? Nonetheless I think it makes my Coconut more special to me, since I got that particular one. (I didn't even notice it at first, in this pic of him that I took on the 1st). ETA: A couple more photos showing off his funky eye. It's very noticeable; I'm not sure if it's just an unpainted eye or what. I think it's cute though.

I posted a couple pics of my Susie earlier in this thread but here are a couple more-she is so cute and definitely has a youthful look (though mine is 10-11) ETA: A couple more photos of pretty Susie (one of my faves)

(I just went back and read my original review and have decided to rewrite it-to make it sound better and stuff). I fell in love with #24 after I saw members photos of her, in fall 2005, when I got back into AG; she instantly came to my mind as a Susie Mae. I loved her so much that I asked my dad for her and I got my Susie for Christmas 2005 (she was my 2nd AG; first Mattel girl) and have loved her ever since the moment I opened her! She has pretty wavy hair and I love her brown eyes and cute freckles. I instantly knew that Susie was to sort of be my mini me, personality-wise (we look nothing alike), in 5th/6th grade. She looks like a shy, quiet, afraid-of-what-others-think-of-her type girl, like me. Her hair is easy to manage although it can get in her face but that's common in bangless dolls. She's one of the prettiest AGTs AG has ever made! I definitely give her an A++++++++++++++++++++ (times infinity).

Version II got this set from my Clandisine Coconut and I love it. The lunch tin is adorable and suits Kit well. The napkin is cute and I love all the little pieces. Mine came sticky so it might be something in the plastic they used (like how many older Barbies have really shiny/oily faces now because something from the plastic came to the surface). The cookie also green/yellow spots on the bottom but...I could pretend it's pistashios or something. Overall I give this set an A- (the minus being because the plastic is sticky and the cookie's odd spots/greenish color).

I'm going to post pics of my mom's (ljaew) Samantha, since I'm the one who takes the pictures and knows how to post them. She's pretty and I agree that there are many variations. My mom's Samantha looks upward and tends to have a day-dreaming look. She came from ebay, so I'm not sure of her actual age-I think she's 1993 or 1994 maybe?

This dress is really cute and the color is nice for the holidays. I don't have this yet myself but my mom has it (her Sam is modeling it in the photos).

I got my Kirsten in Jan. 2006 and she is adorable, though mine is not all like her book character-she's more outgoing. I love her hair- it's not all one color of blond. And her eyes are bright. I had wanted Kirsten since 1996ish, when I first got into AG; she was always my second favorite historical (Felicity being my favorite, of course)!. Kirsten is definitely an A+++++++ ETA: photos (this was a reenactment of her wanting to get out of the box-thus why she is wearing her accessories.

I like this dress. The thickness of the fabric comes in handy for colder days. The color and pattern are cute and I think the shwl, though thin, feels soft.

I got to open Addy on my birthday although technically she is pre-graduation gift since I only have one semester to go. She is lovely and a great addition to my collection. In some lights she looks like she has a grayish cast/tone to her skin but she is beautiful! The accessories are nice, too. I love her necklace; it's very simple and would be easy to make a sort of matching one (even if you use a different type of shell, in case you don't have a cowrie shell) and the coin is neat. Addy's dress is a nice shade of pink and looks sweet on her. Her hair does fall out a bit when you brush it but I heard that's normal for her. Addy is another A+ girl! ETA more photos of my lovely girl!

I bought this dress earlier this semester. I never noticed the little buttons before and I love the detail of the dress. This has always been my favorite Addy dress so I had to buy it, along with Ida Bean. I give this an A+; it's a very pretty dress, perfect for the holidays! (Mod. edit to remove dead photo links)

I love my PM Lissie! She was my first AG and I got her in either late December 1997 or the first week of 1998 (can't remember). She has auburn hair and light face coloring that I like on her since a lot of redheads have fair complexions anyway. I sort of wish that my Lissie had brighter hair but her auburn is lovely as well. I love her just the way she is and she is definitely my favorite! She's definitely an A+ from me! ETA photos

This outfit is worn by Felicity in the original edition of Meet Felicity and in the books Felicity Learns a Lesson, Happy Birthday, Felicity!, Changes for Felicity, in the short stories "Felicity Takes a Dare", "Felicity Discovers a Secret", and "Felicity's Dancing Shoes," and in the DVD Felicity: An American Girl Adventure. It was Felicity's Meet Outfit from her debut in 1991 until 2005, and it was available as a separate purchase briefly in 2005 when Felicity's Meet Outfit changed.
PC description: Felicity comes dressed in a flower-striped gown edged in ruffles. Underpants were not worn in 1774, but under her gown there is a simple shift. She wears white wool stockings and black shoes with fancy buckles. Her shoes are "single-lasted," which means they are just alike and will fit on either foot. In colonial times people switched their shoes from one foot to the other so they would wear evenly!"
I love this meet outfit too! Mine is PM China made and seems thin too-well not thin exactly but thinner than some other clothes. I also love the original meet accessories.

I got this dress on the Feb. 1st and it is so pretty! My Susie had to model it since Felicity is at home. I'm glad it comes with the slippers and hat now. I think it's a great price and oh so cute for those summer days!

Here are the best pics I have of my Lissie wearing this. I don't know if the newer ones have it but mine has a small blue flower on the pompon along with pink and white flowers. I got mine in 1998. ETA: I was looking back at this and should probably give it a more proper review This has always been one of my favorite historical outfits. It was the first extra outfit I had gotten for my Felicity (got it for her birthday in Spring 1998). The color is a nice medium dusty pink (or what I think of a dusty pink). It's not too light, not too bright, and not too dark. The gown looks lovely by itself, without the apron and pompon. Some of the book illustrations show it alone, too (with Nan having a similar purple one). Also, I don't think it really clashes with Felicity's hair (and yes, redheads can wear pink-I do. Certain pinks are clashy but others not as much-or at least no one has given me weird looks/told me I look awful in pink). The apron's print is very pretty and the top stays up alright sometimes, without the pins. I lost the pins long ago but I think similar bigger straight pins might work, too. They might be a tad long but that's alright. The pompon is cute and I usually can get it on fairly easily. The stockings are equally cute. They have a nice embroidery and they're not a plain white or black, which is a nice change. My Lissie wears them a lot but part of that is also because I tossed out her meet stockings years ago due to icky holes in them. I give this outfit A+++++!

The sleeves are tight on my PM Lissie and I wish they still sold the bobby pins with it but it is very cute. (updated with more clear pics).

I got Josefina from my dad for Christmas and she is so pretty! I'm not sure if she has the "high" eyebrows but they don't look high to me, which is good. They look about the same distance from the eyes as the other girls. I think Josefina is a great addition to any collection; she's got so much hope and courage and determination in her, but is also shy. A+!

I love my Kaya! I got her in Feb. 2006 and she has rosy cheeks and lips. I love her expression; mine seems to daydream a lot. She came with loose legs but I couldn't replace her. ETA: More photos of lovely Kaya:
